Hurrah! At this rate, I should “finish” just slightly ahead of schedule. (Though I do need to carve out some time between now and Wednesday to do a round of edits on Tallows House so I can submit it to a contest). I say “finish” because, well, though the story is rounding in 80,000 words, it’s still quite far from complete. A picture is starting to emerge, but there are still so many dots to connect, so many threads of subplot to weave in. I know I originally said I was going to do Script Frenzy in April, but I think I may be better off focusing on this instead. Who knows? Maybe I will have something resembling a draft complete by Ascendio time.
Today: our heroines go to the beach. Reading this book about Roman travel inspired me to send them to Baiae for some well-earned debauchery.
